Finding out why you self-sabotage, get triggered by things you don’t understand, or do things that are harmful to you or others without knowing why is the key to learning about patterns and cycles in your life.
When a person is stuck in a “cycle”, a deeper exploration in therapy often reveals why they are stuck. Some examples that may trigger these cycles include, trauma, family of origin issues, and/or a sense of control or security over one’s life. In order to live a more fulfilled, purposeful, and intentional life, we must figure out what purpose the cycle serves.
